กรุงเทพฯ--30 ก.ค.--พิมพลัส การสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือในระดับนานาชาติอันนำไปสู่การเพิ่มขีดความสามารถของบุคลากรและอุตสาหกรรมแฟชั่นไทยนับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญของการส่งเสริมให้ประเทศไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางแฟชั่นแห่งหนึ่งในภูมิภาคเอเชีย สมาคมอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องหนุ่งห่มไทย(Thai Garment Manufacturers Association-TGMA)ในฐานะสมาชิกสหพันธ์แฟชั่นแห่งเอเชีย (Asia Fashion Federation-AFF) เป็นเจ้าภาพการจัดการประชุม AFF Conference ประจำปี 2551 โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากกรมส่งเสริมการส่งออกให้จัดขึ้นพร้อมกับงาน BIFF&BIL 2008 ในวันที่ 27 สิงหาคมนี้ ที่ไบเทค บางนา ซึ่งถือเป็นการแสดงศักยภาพและบทบาทของประเทศไทยในการเป็นศูนย์กลางแฟชั่นของภูมิภาคเอเชีย สหพันธ์แฟชั่นแห่งเอเชียจัดตั้งขึ้นโดยสมาคมแฟชั่นของประเทศญี่ปุ่น เกาหลี และจีน โดยมีการลงนามขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 22 พฤศจิกายน 2545 ที่กรุงปักกิ่ง ประเทศจีน เพื่อสร้างความร่วมมือในการดำเนินธุรกิจแฟชั่นระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกและใช้ประโยชน์จากทรัพยาการด้านแฟชั่นของประเทศในทวีปเอเชียเพื่อเพิ่มมูลค่าการส่งออกไปยังตลาดต่างๆ ทั่วโลก ต่อจากนั้นในปี 2550 สิงคโปร์เข้าเป็นสมาชิกลำดับที่ 4 และเมื่อวันที่ 7 เมษายนที่ผ่านมาประเทศไทยโดยสมาคมอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องนุ่งห่มไทยได้ตอบรับคำเชิญเข้าเป็นสมาชิกลำดับที่ 5 โดยการเข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกของ AFF นั้นแต่ละประเทศสมาชิกสามารถมีตัวแทนได้เพียง 1 องค์กรเท่านั้นซึ่งต้องเป็นองค์กรที่มีศักยภาพในการดำเนินกิจกรรมเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาและส่งเสริมธุรกิจแฟชั่น ซึ่งสมาคมที่เข้าร่วม AFF ของแต่ละประเทศมีดังต่อไปนี้ - AFF CHINA -China Fashion Designers Association-CFDA - AFF JAPAN - Japan Fashion Association-JFA - AFF KOREA - Korea Fashion Federation-KFA - AFF SINGAPORE -Textile & Fashion Federation Singapore-TAFF - AFF THAILAND -Thai Garment Manufacturers Association-TGMA เนื่องจากการเข้าเป็นสมาชิกลำดับที่ 5 ของ AFF ในปีนี้ จึงทำให้ AFF Thailand มีบทบาทและหน้าที่ในการเป็นเจ้าภาพการจัด 2008 AFF Bangkok Conference ซึ่งสมาคมอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องหนุ่งห่มไทย ในฐานะ AFF Thailand มีความมั่นใจเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าการจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าวนี้จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่ออุตสาหกรรมและธุรกิจแฟชั่นไทยเป็นอย่างมาก โดยมีกิจกรรมหลากหลาย อาทิ การสัมมนา ในหัวข้อ “Today Asian Fashion Lifestyles” แฟชั่นโชว์โดยดีไซเนอร์รุ่นใหม่ของประเทศสมาชิกทั้ง 5 ประเทศ พร้อมทั้งเปิดเวทีเจรจาธุรกิจให้กับนักลงทุนAFF YOUNG DESIGNERS CHINA: MR. Warinlada won Saha Group Bangkok Young Designer Awards 2008 under the concept Make it trend : Inspired by BANGKOK together with The Best Sewing Award 2008.
