Editions Didier Millet, the publisher of some of the most successful books on Thailand and Asia, including the acclaimed biography King Bhumibol Adulyadej: A Life's Work, has just published an important new title called Thailand's Sustainable Development Sourcebook that distils key concepts of sustainable development, defining the issues at stake and providing examples of solutions in one go-to, informative guide.
The book is a compilation of 62 thoroughly researched articles on Thailand's major sustainable development programmes that are written and reviewed by 70 expert and internationally recognized authors. It deals frankly with the backgrounds to some of Thailand's most intractable sustainability issues, and the obstacles to overcoming them, as well as how His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Sufficiency Economy guidelines and the royal projects have contributed to sustainable development.
