Central Pattana Plc. (CPN) joins hands with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, The Royal Thai Police, Advanced Info Services Plc, Chang International Co., Seiko (Thailand) Co., Singha Corporation Co., Master Card Thailand Co., Plan B Media Co., GMM Grammy Plc, The Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA), Index Creative Village Plc. and Thailand Colour Television Channel 3 to announce the "AIS Bangkok & Thailand Countdown 2018" under the concept of 'Super Sonic Space', taking everyone to experience a new space in the universe that never happened before. The event will feature the spectacular light & sound technology on the stage, with the highlight shows inspired by space concept, bringing lively atmosphere and create new dimensions to make an even greater countdown event. Over 140 famous artists will entertain and deliver happiness and ultimate fun to Thai and foreign tourists nationwide. 'AIS Bangkok Countdown 2018 @CentralWorld' will be live broadcasts on 3SD channel from 22.30 hrs. and 3HD from 23.30 – 00.30 hrs. or select 'Multi View' from the AIS PLAY application from 18.30 – 00.30 hrs. or at night on 31st December 2017.
The twelve shopping centers hold The New Year Countdown events are: CentralWorld, CentralPlaza WestGate, CentralPlaza Salaya, CentralFestival Chiangmai, CentralPlaza Udon Thani, CentralPlaza Ubon Ratchathani, CentralPlaza Nakhon Si Thammarat, CentralFestival Hatyai, CentralFestival Samui, CentralFestival Pattaya Beach, CentralPlaza Mahachai and CentralPlaza Nakhon Ratchasima.
Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Executive Vice President of Marketing of CPN, said: "This year at our countdown event, we intend to offer 'Micro Moments' and tap into customers' emotions more than ever, and get into our customers' lifestyles. We will make an unforgettable event for the last six hours of 2017, create an amazing experience with a spectacular production, combining visuals and sound with a great performance of famous singers. One highlight will be the size of the stage at CentralWorld, which will run to 80 meters in length allowing the greater performance of concert. AIS will bring a special booth where visitors can enjoy taking photos on the theme of 'Aunjai: The Next Generation' and they can share and send happiness via social media from 25th December 2017 onwards and get special gift (limited edition) on the 31st December.
The countdown events holding in other branches will also aimed to be the countdown landmark of each city to support Thai and foreign tourists who travelling to Thailand during the festive season. We found that a huge number of people prefer to travel outside of the big city during this period, in particular, people who live in Bangkok and foreign tourists. Secondary cities are becoming more popular as airlines have many more flights to provincial Thailand, making it easier for tourists to travel around in Thailand. CPN has decided to organize countdown events in twelve of our shopping centers nationwide, across every region, to spread the happiness and express gratitude to all customers nationwide. It is initially estimated that over 50 million customers will visit CPN's shopping centers during the year end period. We are coordinating with the government and private sector to prepare and ensure convenient transport and parking space and other services at all countdown destinations. Many stores and restrooms are in place to welcome and facilitate visitors, emphasizing CPN's shopping centers as a 'Center of Life' in all festivals and a place of happiness for people in every province."
