ตามที่เกิดเหตุมีบุคคลใช้อาวุธทำร้ายผู้โดยสารรถไฟบริเวณสถานี Wurzburg เมื่อวันที่ ๑๘ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๕๙ และเหตุกราดยิงบริเวณห้างสรรพสินค้าโอลิมเปีย นครมิวนิก สหพันธรัฐเยอรมนี เมื่อวันที่ ๒๒ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๕๙ นั้น พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงนาง Angela Merkel นายกรัฐมนตรีสหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐเยอรมนี ดังนี้

Excellency,
I have learned with profound sadness the loss of lives and injuries caused by the cowardly acts at the Olympia-Einkaufzentrum and the Wurzburg station in the past few days.
On this sorrowful moment, I, on behalf of the Thai government and Thai people, would like to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency, and through you, the bereaved families of those who were affected by the violent acts.
My thoughts and prayer are with the people of the Federal Republic of Germany during this very difficult period.
