ด้วยวันที่ ๑๕ มิถุนายน ๒๕๕๖ เป็นวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพของสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถเอลิซาเบธที่ ๒ อย่างเป็นทางการ (The Queen’s Official Birthday) ซึ่งเสมือนเป็นวันชาติของสหราชอาณาจักร ในการนี้ นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี และนายสุรพงษ์ โตวิจักษณ์ชัยกุล รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสหราชอาณาจักร ตามลำดับ ดังนี้ ๑. สารแสดงความยินดีจากนายกรัฐมนตรีถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีสหราชอาณาจักร
