จากเหตุการณ์เครื่องบินของสานการบินมาเลเซียแอร์ไลน์ เที่ยวบินที่ MH370 สูญหาย นางสาวยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม ได้มีสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงนายกรัฐมนตรีมาเลเซีย ดังนี้
Excellency,
I am deeply saddened to learn from your announcement on 24 March 2014 of the fate of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I would like to convey our deepest sympaties and condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to the bereaved families of the passengers and crew on board. Our thoughts and prayers remain with them at this very difficult time.
Over the past several weeks, Thailand was pleased to have been able to assist Malaysia in the search and rescue operations in the Strait of Malacca, the Gulf of Thailand and the 'northern corridor' area. As a close neighbor and friend in ASEAN, I would like to reaffirm that Thailand remains fully committed to providing further support and assistance, including exchange of informations, to Malaysia.
