NEW YORK, May 1 /PRNewswire/AsiaNet/-- The partners of Andersen Worldwide overwhelmingly affirmed their intention, by a 93% vote, to keep their global organization together during their Annual Partners' Meeting this week in Paris. Lawrence A. Weinbach, Managing Partner-Chief Executive said, "The partners of Andersen Worldwide made this decision in the best interests of our clients as well as our organization. The Andersen name is synonymous with world-class professional services. We intend to serve the global market of the 21st Century with the best network of any global professional services organization." Strong double-digit growth in both the Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting business units is expected to drive total revenues past $11 billion during the current fiscal year, double the amount of revenues five years ago. The Andersen Worldwide partners acknowledged that the tremendous, continuing pace of growth has resulted in the need for some organizational adjustments in order to best serve the marketplace in the future. They believe their discussions at the meeting, which culminated an 18-month strategic planning process, will provide valuable input on several issues to the incoming leadership. Mr. Weinbach has previously announced his intention not to seek a third term. The process of selecting a successor to Mr. Weinbach as Managing Partner-Chief Executive is underway and should be completed in May.
