MANILA: The CE Casecnan Water and Energy Company, Inc said today it has achieved commercial operation as of Dec. 11 of its Multipurpose Irrigation and Power Project for the Philippines. The plant will generate approximately 150 megawatts of electricity for the irrigation of new rice lands and will stabilise the water supply for existing rice lands, the company said.
