KENNETH MARTINI TO HEAD READ-RITE CORPORATION'S SINGAPORE OPERATIONS MILPITAS, Calif., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/AsiaNet/-- Read-Rite Corporation (Nasdaq: RDRT) has appointed Kenneth W. Martini vice president and managing director of its Singapore operations. Martini, who will be based in Singapore, has been vice president of sales for the company's Maxtor Business Unit since 1995. He has spent his entire business career in the magnetic recording industry, much of it in sales and customer satisfaction work in Asia. Martini will be responsible for managing and directing all customer satisfaction activities between Read-Rite's head gimbal assembly (HGA) and headstack assembly (HSA) facilities and its customers' manufacturing facilities. Martini came to Read-Rite from Sunward Technologies, of which he was a co-founder. At Sunward, he served successively as director of sales and vice president of sales for a total of ten years. Martini was employed from 1978 to 1985 at National Micronetics Inc., also a manufacturer of recording heads, as production control manager and later as district sales manager. Martini earned a B.S. degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, located in Indiana Pennsylvania.
