The two lucky winners will be awarded a trip to New York City and will compete against the best texters from all over the world for the ultimate prize of USD 100,000. Launched to celebrate mobile culture and advances in mobile technology, the LG Mobile Worldcup has become the world’s premier mobile festival. Altogether, more than 6 million people took part in the LG Mobile Worldcup in 2009. This year is the first time that the competition has come to Thailand, and is celebrated as the ‘LG Mobile Worldcup QWERTY King 2010’. The winning teams from the LG Mobile Worldcup QWERTY King 2010 will be awarded a trip to New York City and will compete against the best texters from 24 countries in the February 2011 World Championship for the ultimate prize of USD 100,000. Additionally, the fastest texter will have the chance to challenge for the Guinness World Record established last year by Pedro Matias of Portugal, who set a new world record by accurately texting 264 English characters in just two minutes.
