For the first time ever, Thailand has been selected to be the proud host of FIATA World Congress 2010, the international logistics fair organized by the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations and the Thai International Freight Forwarders Association (TIFFA). The event is scheduled for October 4-8, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. at QSNCC.
Mr. Alongkorn Ponlaboot, Deputy Minister of Commerce, together with Mr. Suwit Ratanachinda, President of Thai International Freight Forwarders Association (TIFFA), was officially assigned the responsibility of hosting FIATA World Congress 2010 in Zurich, Switzerland. “Besides being a great place to cultivate logistics and freight networks, the event will give all parties concerned the chance to get up to speed with all the latest developments in the global arena of shipping and logistics and gain invaluable advice for fine tuning their logistics operations. As a result, it will also undoubtedly reinforce Thailand’s positioning as a major logistics hub of the Asian region,” revealed Mr. Alongkorn. Visitors to the event will also be able to see a fully-integrated freight forwarding industry, including related services, cutting-edge software, IT technology and logistics equipment. All this plus an exhibition by FIATA member companies, airlines and local and international ports worldwide.
ครั้งแรกของประเทศไทยกับการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม FIATA World Congress 2010 การบริการรับจัดการขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างประเทศในระดับนานาชาติ ประจำปี 2010 ที่จัดโดยสมาคมผู้รับจัดการขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างประเทศและสมาพันธ์ผู้รับจัดการขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างประเทศ
อลงกรณ์ พลบุตร รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงพาณิชย์ และสุวิทย์ รัตนจินดา นายกสมาคมผู้รับจัดการขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างประเทศ(TIFFA) ได้รับมอบเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน FIATA World Congress 2010 ณ เมืองซูริค ประเทศสวิสเซอร์แลนด์ และได้กล่าวถึงประโยชน์ที่ประเทศไทยจะได้รับจากการจัดงานในครั้งนี้ว่า “นอกจากจะเป็นการขยายเครือข่ายข่าวทางด้านธุรกิจผู้ประกอบการขนส่งสินค้าและโล จิสติกส์แล้ว ยังเป็นการเปิดรับข่าวสารและศึกษาข้อมูลการขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างประเทศในเชิงลึกและแนวทางการพัฒนาภาคธุรกิจด้านโลจิสติกส์ จากประเทศต่างๆ กว่า 90 ประเทศทั่วโลก เพื่อเป็นการยกระดับประเทศไทยสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางโลจิสติกส์ในภูมิภาคเอเซีย” นอกจากการประชุมสัมมนาแล้ว ภายในงานพบกับธุรกิจและการบริการด้านโลจิสติกส์แบบครบวงจร ซอฟแวร์และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ อุปกรณ์โลจิสติกส์ พร้อมชมนิทรรศการ จากบริษัทสมาชิกของ FIATA สายการบิน ท่าเรือต่างๆ ทั้งในและต่างประเทศทั่วโลก
