Lucky English Fan Presents the Carlsberg Man of the Match Award to Steven Gerrard at UEFA EURO 2012? Finals
Today David Huggins from England fulfilled a lifelong dream to travel to the European Football Championships and got an insight behind the scenes, as he presented English captain Steven Gerrard, with his Carlsberg Man of the Match Award at the UEFA EURO 2012? England v Ukraine match in Donetsk, Ukraine.(Match 23 on 19 June 2012 at 20:45 CET)
A delighted David after the presentation said, “It is a privilege to present this award and give it to Steven Gerrard who deserved this trophy. Thank you to Carlsberg for this opportunity and for the whole experience.”

Steven Gerrard was chosen as the Carlsberg Man of the Match by fans and UEFA Legend Christian Karembeu. Gerrard said, "I always kept belief and confidence because I know I've got very good players next to me in the dressing room. This was a very difficult group; so far, so good in this tournament. I think we're playing very well and working very hard for each other. We showed that as a team we don't give up and we keep fighting. To be successful in these tournaments, because of the standard of these sides, you need a bit of luck in your favour. If you work hard and keep fighting you earn that luck."
