Leading global 3PL Damco has appointed Alain Ventura as its Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore.
In this role, Ventura is responsible for all aspects of the logistics and freight forwarding business in Malaysia and Singapore.
“Damco has a strong foothold in Singapore and Malaysia, providing customers with supply chain management solutions for more than 20 years now. Moving forward, we want to do more for our customers - by customizing better and more efficient solutions to meet their needs, so they have peace of mind when their goods are with Damco,” Ventura said.
Ventura joins Damco with about 20 years of logistics experience behind him, having worked in Asia, Europe and the U.S. in different management positions. Based in Singapore, Ventura reports to Tony Hotine, Chief Executive Officer for Damco in Asia Pacific.
“Alain has the local knowledge and hands-on experience required for strengthening our business in Malaysia and Singapore, two important markets for Damco in Asia Pacific. I am happy to have him on my team, and confident that he will lead both countries to become our customers’ preferred logistics partner,” Hotine said.
