Low fares leader Jetstar continues its support of local communities with its recent donation of 500 blankets to assist victims of the recent floods in Thailand.
Recently, Jetstar crew members presented the blankets that will be distributed to areas of Thailand that have been adversely affected by the recent floods.
Jetstar has a longstanding history of proactively reaching out to and supporting communities whereit operates throughout the region. It is an enduring tradition that delivers very tangible and sustainable results in support of disaster relief as well as nurturing the health and educational well-being of underprivileged children in Thailand.
In addition to individual staff initiatives, in 2007 Jetstar established the StarKids in partnershipwith World Vision, whereby passengers are encouraged to donate to World Vision projects which improve the lives of children in some of the region’s poorest communities, including in Thailand. Many Jetstar employees also donate directly through a direct Work Place Giving program.
