Plaza Ath?n?e Bangkok, A Royal M?ridien Hotel lead by Ms. Choo-Leng Goh, General Manager and H.E. Antonio Felix Machado de Faria e — Maya, Portuguese Ambassador to Thailand together with many journalists and honorable guests have recently celebrated the Wine Spectator's 2010 Award of Excellence, which has been recognizes to The Reflexions, a Modern French cuisine, as a venue that offer a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
Being one of the only three restaurants in Bangkok to receive this prestigious award, The Reflexions honors a wine list of at least 100 well-chosen selections that are clearly presented and appropriately paired with the restaurant’s cuisine.
The restaurant has been developing its wine program and reputation in Bangkok fine dining market as a wine destination since the last 6 years through various creative initiatives. The first concept that was brought together is a monthly wine tasting featuring a producer or a region and where guest can enjoy few pleasant after work glasses of wine paired with refined canap?s created by the chef. This event has been consistently attracting 80-120 people monthly since the last 6 years without failing one month and since 2 years, the event has now partnered with a local charity foundation who receive part of the proceeds.
The second concept which largely helped to craft The Reflexions’ reputation is the Plaza Ath?n?e Wine Boutique selection. Every quarter, we put together a wine list featuring 16 to 20 labels (some are offered by the glass as well) of boutique wine producers featuring less known wines produced in very limited quantities but offering a new perspective for our guest by their stunning quality and eye opening opportunity to discover small but beautiful wineries. The selection is always launched by a small, unique and conceptual wine dinner at The Reflexions where these wines are paired with the Chef’s fine cuisine and the guest enjoyed an evening with thematic concept inspired by the season and actuality.
The Reflexions is known for a creative world class French fine cuisine carefully prepared by Resident French Chef Thibault Chiumenti and his skilled team in refreshing new ways and aspires to be a fun place for revelers to unwind. It is significantly acclaimed for its wide wine selections.
