Avaya Appoints Three New Executives in ASEAN to Build on its Success

Bangkok--18 Nov--Spark Communications Avaya boosts its business with new executive appointments - David English named Director ASEAN Channels, Avaya - Amy Slayter appointed Marketing Programs Manager Data, Avaya - Usa Kongthawornwong is HR Business Partner ASEAN, Avaya David English is responsible for leading the Avaya channel business in ASEAN. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, English joins Avaya with over 25 years experience in the information technology and telecommunications industry. Most recently he has been working as the Chief Marketing Officer for Anunda Technologies, and prior to this role, he co-founded and was Chief Operating Officer of mStream Media. He has also served as the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Managing Director of Thailand for CASCADE, the technical services arm of PCCW. David began his career at EDS, working primarily in sales and marketing. His last role at EDS was the North Asia Marketing Director and Asia Pacific Channel Sales Director. According to Ray Teske managing director, ASEAN, Avaya, “we are committed to doubling our business in the next 2-3 years across APAC — in ASEAN our channel business is paramount to achieving this growth. David is a top operator, and in this position he will work with our channel business to maximise growth — I’m delighted that he has joined Avaya!” Amy Slayter has over 13 years experience in the IT industry and joins Avaya as Marketing Programs Manager Data. She will be focused on delivering marketing campaigns and activities for Avaya Data solutions. She is also responsible for vertical marketing within hospitality, healthcare and government industries for APAC and is based in Bangkok, Thailand. Slayter previously worked at Nortel as APAC Campaign Manager where she worked on creating marketing campaigns across the region. Prior to moving to Asia, she worked at MRM Worldwide in San Francisco, CA where she managed global and US focused marketing campaigns for Microsoft. Usa Kongthawornwong will be responsible for supporting the Avaya team in ASEAN on regional HR issues. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, her accountabilities will include; recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, performance management and employee relations. Kongthawornwong joins Avaya with over 10 years of HR experience and has worked in the telecommunications industry for many years. Prior to joining Avaya, she was with Triumph Aviation Services Asia Ltd as its HR Manager. “Avaya has a strong business in ASEAN and our new appointments add vast knowledge and experience to the team.
