SANYO is content with cold chain products sales in 2010, posting constant sales during January-September compared to the same period last year. The firm plans to launch two new wine coolers with digital control and the capabilities to keep the taste.
Mr. Komin Wanichworanun, Senior Manager of Cold Chain Sales Section of SANYO (Thailand) Co., Ltd., announced that the cold chain products sales during January-September 2010 have increased 35% comparing to the same period last year. He believed that the sales would hit the targeted 50,000 units at the end of the year.
The firm plans to raise its share in Thailand’s cold chain product market from 21% to 26% within 2011, with a focus on small retailers, convenient stores, mini marts, supermarkets, restaurants and hotels.
“Despite political uncertainties and natural disasters, cold chain product sales have grown constantly this year. The market competitiveness is at middle level, which is beneficial to the overall business. Nevertheless, the competition would be more aggressive next year, particularly among local brands” said Komin.
During early next year, Sanyo plans to introduce two wine coolers with digital temperature and humidity control function that can also prevent UV to help keeping the taste. Made from rust-free aluminium emboss sheet and provided with locking key and interior light, the coolers are expected to be on sale in January 2011.
