Bangkok--26 Nov--Mentor International
We are delighted to advise that King's College London has been awarded the Sunday Times University of the Year 2010-11, in recognition of all-round excellence, encompassing a range of aspects of research, teaching, and the student experience.
The announcement of the award was made in the Sunday Times University Guide, which was published on 12 September 2010, and provides profiles of all the UKs higher education institutions, and a British university league table. This is compiled using a number of criteria including student satisfaction, research quality, academic peer review, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, dropout rates and graduate employment levels. In every one of the criteria (with the exception of research quality, fixed by the results of the 2008 RAE), King's has improved its position this year, the only university to have done so. Further information is on the College website at http://www.kcl.ac.uk/
Thank you and your colleagues for your continued support and helping us achieve this wonderful award. We are also delighted to confirm that last week, King's rose two places in the QS World University Rankings to Number 21 in the world. It is a great way to start the new academic year.
