Amway delivers 24th library with over Bt800,000 funding to expand learning opportunity for Thai children for the 3rd year

Bangkok--26 Nov--Verve Amway (Thailand) Limited and Amway for Thai Society Foundation has delivered “Amway 24th Library” under the “One by One: World of Wisdom” Campaign to perpetuate the basic educational opportunity for the Thai children who need it. The library has been delivered along with Bt800,000 worth of useful and entertaining activities for the students at the Border Patrol Police School of Baan Na Yao of Chachoengsao province, marking the 3rd year of the company’s long standing charity campaign that has benefited as much as 7,600 Thai students nationwide. Mr. Kittawat Ritteerawee, General Manager of Amway (Thailand) Limited and Director of Amway for Thai Society Foundation, noted that “The One by One: World of Wisdom is the educational project that builds and develops libraries for remote schools leading to increase learning opportunities for needy Thai students who should be able to have a quality life growing up to their full potentials. So far, we have administered 24 libraries which should benefit over 7,600 Thai students nationwide.” “In 2008, Amway Corporation headquarters celebrated its 50th anniversary by giving a Bt8.5 million funding for social responsibility projects of Amway Thailand. The money was then topped up by Amway Thailand to the total Bt15 million to administer the One by One: World of Wisdom by making and replenishing the books for all Amway libraries. This year, Amway has built a new library for the Border Patrol Police School of Baan Na Yao of Chachoengsao province which is the most populated school among all Border Patrol Police Schools in this country.” Mr. Sak Thanaprakob, Vice President of Amway for Thai Society Foundation, said that “The Amway for Thai Society Foundation has run the One by One: World of Wisdom campaign for the 3rd year, this year with the 24th library for the Border Patrol Police School of Baan Na Yao of Chachoengsao province. This new library has 2,563 educational books and it has been officially delivered as to increase the learning opportunities for the Thai students.” “Also on this occasion, Amway Foundation for Thai Society has organized the “3rd World of Wisdom Caravan” where 35 Amway staff and Amway Business Owners from various professions such as doctors and nurses, pharmacists and teachers will be volunteers in the health checkup, lunch and fun activities for the students. The total funding for this campaign is about Bt800,000,” Mr. Sak stated. Police Lieutenant Yuwarit Latong, Director of the Border Patrol Police School of Baan Na Yao of Chachoengsao province, said that “Our school provides primary education from kindergarten to Pathom 6 with now 530 students and 28 teachers. Our library and stationary had never been ample for the needs of the students and we truly appreciate the help of Amway for Thai Society Foundation who has given us a good full library to begin with.
