Bangkok--2 Dec--Chiang Mai Tigers Rugby Club
Chiang Mai Tigers Rugby Club and Citylife Chiang Mai were pleased to welcome all rugby lovers to The 1st Chiang Mai Rugby Tens Tournament. The tournament brought teams from all over Thailand, such as the Pattaya Panthers, Phuket Vagabonds, The Old Bangkok Bangers, Goosers, Thonburi University, and local team from Prince’s Royal College as well as team from further afield the GU “Doverie” from Russia, who came together in a celebration of rugby and sporting spirits. The Prince Royal rugby field was exceptional, as was all the support from the school. Thank you to Chiang Mai residents who came along to watch the rugby over the two days, a great success for a first event of its kind. The feedback has also been very positive and we fully intend to turn this into an annual competition, with teams already pledged from Australia and New Zealand among others.
