KASIKORNBANK is further extending the success of the TV documentary-cum-drama ”Thee Siamese Lord”, the first program of its kind on Thai television, produced to commemorate the 100th year since the passing of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn. The program presented His Majesty King Chulalongkorn’s great royal activities and his great love for the country. The content of the program, derived from the “Thee Siamese Lord” book, focused on the core content of love, including love for the Siamese land and its people, and love for the royal family.
The “Thee Siamese Lord” TV program, which was broadcast on the Thai PBS station from October 6 to November 16, 2010, is an 18-part documentary series. The program was highly admired by audiences. As a result, KBank has introduced “Thee Siamese Lord” on a set of nine DVDs packed in a splendid box, with additional content not shown on television, accompanied by a CD of the “Thee Siamese Lord” book in electronic form. There are only 10,000 DVD sets available, for the price of 1,005 Baht each. All proceeds from the sales of books and DVD sets will be donated to the Thai Red Cross Society. Interested persons can purchase the DVD set at any KBank branch or the Chula Book Center.
The production team of the historical documentary-cum-drama of “Thee Siamese Lord” includes Khunying Wimol Siripaiboon (Thommayanti), script writer; Khun Sorarat Jirabovornwisut assisted in the script development. Khun Winai Pathomboon led the drama production team, while Khun Tawatchai Kitiyapichatkul led the documentary production team. Lecturers from Chulalongkorn University conducted in-depth studies and arranged information for the “Thee Siamese Lord” book.
