ACE INA Overseas Insurance Company Limited (ACE Insurance Thailand), part of the ACE Group of Companies, global leaders in insurance and reinsurance, announced today the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer — Neil Smith.
Mr. Smith has more than 30 years of industry experience, mostly in leadership and general management roles. As an employee of CIGNA, prior to ACE’s acquisition in 1999, he held a variety of senior management positions in Europe, North America, Australia and Africa, including President & CEO of Canada and Regional VP Accident & Health for Asia Pacific. From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Smith was Head of ACE’s Accident & Health/Personal Lines business in Europe. Prior to his new appointment, he was Regional President of ACE Japan, based in Tokyo.
