The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association (PreMA), in collaboration with the Middle Management Reporters Club and the Medical Council, is publishing the Media Handbook, a Thai language media handbook for health communications — the very first of its kind to provide comprehensive, useful and accurate health related information to the Thai media.
PReMA, the Middle Management Reporter Club, and the Medical Council all understand the importance of the media getting the right information to the public. The Media Handbook is designed to provide updated, correct and accurate information on health related issues to the media at large.
The handbook contains a wide array of information including facts and statistics, such as frequently misunderstood diseases & illnesses, ethics case studies, the role of innovative drugs, vaccines for life, and the drug system in Thailand. Other information includes R&D and accesses, intellectual properties, compulsory licensing, medical acronyms, full names & abbreviations of health agencies, emerging & re-emerging diseases, as well as a perspective and expectations of stakeholders involved in the mass media’s health report
The handbook is being distributed to health and non-health journalists, newspapers, magazines and other media offices, as well as selected media associations and clubs, university faculties of Mass Communications and Journalism, other public and private sectors, and many more.
