Fragments of lights and colors reveal themselves through the veiled walls. The audience is invited to enter each one to discover the contexts and narratives within.
Drawing from hypothesized national identities, propaganda theories, and the frayed edges of unsettled socio-political quandaries, five artists engage in rationalizing and memorializing of the damages — both physical and psychological — caused by the violent conflicts of May this year.
In an array of pieces — installations, sculptures, projections and graphic art are displayed within a series of rooms on the 2nd floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. Walls are deconstructed, illuminating what would otherwise be disregarded, unrecognized, or avoided.
