The Sittipol Group “We Care,” For Sea Foundation and Thai Health Promotion Foundation announce an essay contest, the winners of which will have a chance to join a diving camp at Ngai Island, Trang province, during April during April 26 - May 3.
Mr. Wichai Kingchar, Director of The Sittipol Group “We Care,” revealed that The Sittipol Group “We Care” in collaboration with For Sea Foundation and Thai Health Promotion Foundation have announced the Youth Exploring Underwater Habitat Workshop Year 9, which is sponsored by The Sittipol Group for the second year as the group realizes the importance of building awareness on the conservation of Thailand’s seas as the world’s top diving site and the preservation of marine ecosystem among Thai youth.
Students aged between 13 and 20 years who are interested in the workshop are to send A4 page essay under the topic “Global Warming, Sea's Cry of Distress” together with brief biography and photos to For Sea Foundation, P.O. Box 28, Onnut Post Office. The application period lasts until March 25.
30 qualified participants will have a chance to attend the workshop, which will be held during April 27 - May 2 at Ngai Island, Trang province. Successful participants will be given certificates from Professional Association of Diving Instructor (PADI) to affirm that they have passed diving workshop globally acknowledged, which can be used when applying for advanced diving courses as well.
During 6 days of the workshop, participants will learn many things including PADI open water diver scuba course, knowledge about marine ecosystem, how to make notes about undersea creatures and how to live with nature harmoniously, which are keys to building awareness on nature conservation.
