Students from Watnicrotaram school, Chachoeangsao, enjoy the fun on the first day of the
PTT Pattaya Open 2011 tennis tournament
Low fares leader Jetstar continues continued its support of local communities and underprivileged children by organizing a special trip for young children of the Watnicrotaram school (Chachoeangsao), where Jetstar cabin crew regularly volunteer, to the PTT Pattaya Open 2011 tennis tournament.
Jetstar arranged for a fun-filled visit by the children to watch on-site the first day of matches at the tournament. All of the kids were entertained onsite at the Jetstar exhibition booth and tested their talents at a ping pong by playing with World # 3 tennis star and defending champion Vera Zvonareva.
Jetstar was recently named the first ever official airline partner of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and its tournaments across the Asia Pacific region until 2013, serving the Jetstar brand into today’s largest global aviation market of Asia.
Jetstar also proudly encourages volunteerism in its workforce, as it effectively creates a spirit of cooperation as well as generates real pride among the airline’s crew and other employees.
In addition to individual staff initiatives, in 2007 Jetstar established StarKids in partnership with World Vision, whereby passengers are encouraged to donate to World Vision projects which improve the lives of children in some of the region’s poorest communities, including in Thailand.
As a growing and dynamic company Jetstar looks forward to enhancing its support for community and social programs throughout Thailand and in the increasing number of countries where it now operates.
