Kasetsart University and Seagate Technology (Thailand) Limited are extending the application period for the 24th Crystal Brain Camp Kasetsart-Seagate. The camp invites young Thai children with an interest in science, technology, Mathematics and robotics to enroll. This summer camp will take place at the Kampaengsan Agricultural Extension and Training Center, Kasetsart University, Kampaengsan Campus, Nakornpathom province on April 25 to May 1, 2011. This year, the camp will focus on offering young children with an exciting exposure to the prevalent digital world of today. It will also teach the children about writing, reading, and learning to use the digital world for entertainment and education.
Eligible applicants must be young children aged 10-13 years old. Application is extended from now until the end of March this year. Interested applicants may download the application forms at http://www.ku.ac.th and contact any of the following sites to submit the application forms:

Camp activities include Creative Electronics, Crystal Brain Robot, Fun Blog, Making Your Dream Comes True with Computers, Digital Project, Young Genius Engineers, Arts as well as Games and Recreation.
In Creative Electronics, young children are assigned to develop their project and create the digital communication from electronic circuits.
The Crystal Brain Robot Development Activity enables each child to build a small robot controlled by computer commands. The robots let them sharpen their problem-solving and imagination skills.
In Fun Blog Activity, children express their imagination and creative ideas by writing their Blogs. They share their stories from imagination. They also work as a team to compete in games which challenge their problem-solving and deliberation to bring success and excitement.
The Making Your Dream Comes True with Computer Activity provides young children with opportunities to develop their project under an open-ended creative environment. Their works will be available in Web 2.0 to facilitate information sharing and learning.
The Digital Project helps to enhance participants’ teamwork skills. By taking part in the digital creation projects, they also enjoy the creation of photos and videos.
