The company anticipates to get aggressive in 2011 with plans to establish a Business Development unit to help propel higher growth through new lines of operation such as providing comprehensive marketing solutions and logistics services to business partners and alliances. Mr.Sumeth Lersumitkul, Chief Executive Officer of Moong Pattana International Public Company Limited, leader and specialist in sales and distribution of consumer products, disclosed that he is confident his company’s performance in the year 2011 would continue to expand following better projection of the economic recovery. Combined with confidence in the potential and strength of the company with its main revenue from consumable goods distribution business and selling agents, for instance mother and child products, kitchenware, plastic and packaging products, and joint venture in manufacturing. During 2010, Moong Pattana International PLC reports total sales worth 430 million baht, showing 12% increase in the overall performance against that of a year ago, which stood only at 384 million baht. Net profit for the year is 48 million baht or up 12% from 43 million baht in 2009. The company confirms that sales in every product segment have reached the targets with 80% of the sales or 344 million baht coming from PIGEON brand.
Our objective in 2011 is to expand the uncompromising expertise ‘The Professional Trading Company’, with the latest strategic implementation - that is the establishment the operation of the Business Development Department. The unit is designed to help increase competitiveness through new businesses. The responsibility will focus on finding new partners who are product manufacturers or players with plans to expand their presence in Thailand territory. The Business Development Department is expected to be gearing up within the 2nd quarter of 2011. In 2010, the company had already started to provide services in marketing and sales to 5 new partners to show its capabilities and proficiency.
