The Pizza Company reaches the key milestone of being a market leader for 10 consecutive years whilst launching the "Sharing Happiness" campaign along with the first "Ambassador of Happiness" and super value promotion "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" during March 2011
The Pizza Company, the pizza market leader in the dine-in, delivery and take-away business with the highest sales volume in Thailand under the management of The Minor Food Group (Public) Company Limited, celebrates its 10th year anniversary with the launch of the "Sharing Happiness" campaign via The Pizza Company's first "Ambassador of Happiness" - Nose Udom Taepanich to reward customers with laughter and happiness throughout the year 2011. The Company simultaneously introduces the super value promotion “Buy 1 Get 1 Free" as a gift for pizza lovers to enjoy this special offer with friends and families during March 2011. Pizza ordering is expected to reach 2.7 million trays within one month or more.
Mr. Andy Holman, Vice President and General Manager of The Pizza Company Thailand and International Franchise disclosed: "2011 is the 10th year that The Pizza Company has been operating under the management of The Minor Food Group (Public) Company Limited with 208 branches nationwide and 38 international branches. The Company is now planning to expand domestic and foreign branches continuously. This year, we will be implementing a fully integrated marketing campaign in every marketing channel to reinforce our leadership in QSR business."
The Pizza Company has set a 50-million baht budget for all marketing activities under the "Sharing Happiness" campaign to roll out on-going below-the-line activities using the Ambassador of Happiness - Nose Udom Taepanich to reward customers with laughter and happiness throughout the year. Meanwhile, the Company will be introducing the super value promotion "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" that only The Pizza Company can offer pizza lovers. This most-looked-forward-to promotion of 2 pizzas for the price of one is available until the end of March. The Company expects to grow further by 8%-10%, equivalent to 4 billion baht, with great confidence in Thailand's growing economic strength and the government's pay rise policy for government officials resulting in higher spending power of consumers.
"This year we are confident that our most-talked-about promotion "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" will enjoy a warm welcome amongst consumers thus accelerating our sales volume growth by 10%, equivalent to 2.7 million trays, compared to that of March last year. Such sales volume is expected to gain from dine-in 35%, delivery 50% and take-away business 15%. The Company also aims to expand its customer base by 10% - 15%. Given that consumers nowadays are looking for value-for-money products during this difficult economic situation and that our promotion runs throughout the school holiday period, we expect to see pizza orders increase in every channel", Mr. Holman added.
In terms of the 2010 turnover, The Pizza Company has successfully achieved its target by reaching the 6% growth, approximately 3.6 billion baht in value, which was made up of dine-in 40%, delivery 40% and take-away business 20%, with the latter being the fastest growing business at a 6% growth rate.

At the press announcement event of the 10th year anniversary and market leadership, The Pizza Company will unveil their newly renovated restaurant image with an Italian-inspired touch and feel both exterior and interior. The interior decoration with brown brick walls, warm atmosphere and yellow lighting will set the mood for diners as if they were sitting in an Italian city. The pasta station in the middle of the restaurant is decorated with various types of kitchenware that are the symbols of the Land of Pizza and the restaurant also uses Italian styled utensils. There are large paintings on the walls to accentuate the warm atmosphere of the restaurant with additional tables to welcome more diners.
