Double Dragons speedily builds brand to advance on sesame oil market worth Bt1,000 million and aims to emphasize on consumers instead of export and industry group markets. The company expects its revenue will grow 5-10% this year.
Ms Ananda Wangwanitkul, managing director of Union Food Industry Co., Ltd., the manufacturer and distributor of sesame oil under brand “Double Dragon” unveiled that the company has planned to build brand to be more recognizable among consumers since we have marketed by emphasizing on export and industry group markets. The figures of export market to the United States, Japan, India, and neighboring countries is around 40% and domestic market is around 60%. The consumer market is approximately 15-20% of domestic market, whereas, the remaining 80-85% is in industry group market. The company aims to increase the figure of consumer market to 50% in next three years.
The company will spend Bt10 million budget on building brand awareness targeted to consumers by attaching to its 360 degree strategy. The budget spent this year is higher Bt6-7 million than normal. Since there is no competitors build brand awareness by targeting to consumers before, the company, therefore, believes that there is potential on staying in consumers’ mind. Nowaday, consumers are more health conscious and always look for healthy food products for themselves and family.
The company expects its revenue will grow 5-10% compared to last year. The total sesame oil market worth Bt1,000 million is expected to increase 10% this year.
