Revealing insights on CIO Reimaging IT for 2011 and introducing the Industry’s First High-speed Mobile Access Solution
HP Networking, HP Enterprise Business led by (from left to right) Mr. Sakchai Punyajaray, Director; Dr. Beng Teck Liang, Managing Director and General Manager; and Mr. Amol Mitra, Director of Marketing in APJ and joined by Mr. Joe Skorupa (far right) Research Vice President, Gartner Research, organized the “Transforming Networking Market Dynamics” regional roadshow in Southeast Asia to present insights on CIO business and technology priorities for 2011 and HP’s “Instant-On Enterprise” vision to CTOs and IT Managers in Thailand.
Gartner Research found that the top 3 CIO business priorities for 2011 are increasing enterprise growth, attracting and retaining new customers and reducing costs. The technologies that CIOs have ranked as their top 3 priorities in 2011 are Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Mobile Technologies. The Gartner report has debunked the myth of the single vendor network and revealed that introducing a second vendor will deliver a lower TCO as well as provide long term savings in operational costs.
While HP Networking reinforced its leadership in the networking market with the HP Converged Infrastructure, a key to an Instant-On Enterprise.
HP Networking has been transforming the industry with an open-standards approach. This has given customers choice from network to the edge and has allowed them to break away from the single networking vendor paradigm to reduce network complexity and provide ease in network management.
HP also introduced the HP Mobile Access Solution, the industry’s first high-speed mobile access solution, built on the HP Converged Infrastructure strategy. The HP Mobile Access Solution enables clients to optimize mobile communications through wireless access points that can support up to 50 percent more mobile devices than existing technology.
HP Mobile Access Solution operates as a converged network solution for both wired and wireless environments. As a result, clients can reduce equipment, complexity and resource requirements across their entire network environment by standardizing on a single solution that includes operating system, management tool and access control security.
