IMPACT Announces 2011 Business Plan with One Stop Concept, Aiming to be Ranked in Asian Top 5

Bangkok--10 Mar--IMPACT Exhibition Management Bt3 billion will be spread to develop IMPACT Muang Thong Thani over the next three years. According to Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director, IMPACT exhibition Management Co., Ltd. (the operator of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Exhibition and Convention Center), for the fiscal year 2011 (April 2011 to March 2012), IMPACT is entering its 13th year which is a very busy as it will play host to various new and large exhibitions such as Motor Show 2011, the recently moved Money Expo 2011, and BOI Fair 2011 which is a very large exhibition occupying the whole Challenger Hall, Convention Hall and Lakeside Area, along with other 800 events. In order to get ready for the aforementioned events and after the finalizing the conclusion last year, IMPACT is speeding up the development plan for facilities and enhancing service level to meet international standards to culminate the business policies called “Partnership for Success” which focuses on delivering one stop concept and offering the best options for customer’s success. This movement will address its vision to be ranked among Asian top 5 exhibition and convention centers in accordance with its five-year business development plans for year 2009 — 2013 such as new 10-storey parking building (indoor parking 2) to offer indoor and outdoor parking area for up to 15,000 cars, loading area expansion to offer faster loading time, officially opening the four-star Novotel Bangkok IMPACT Hotel with 380 rooms in this coming April. Moreover, one more indoor parking building will be constructed to offer more parking area for 2,000 cars. The renovation of Convention Building; the construction of connecting walkway from hotel to other buildings; the constant improvement of surrounding roads and landscape are also included in the development plans. Service wise, the two new restaurants including Flann O’brien’s Irish Pub and Noodle Nation will add the numbers of restaurants run by IMPACT to seven outlets to provide variety of catering services along with other existing 30 outlets. Elaborated Mr. Paul, “The new connecting walkway from hotel to other convention and exhibition buildings will promote accessibility and safety for hotel guests when they join the conferences, seminars or exhibitions at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani without using cars of other vehicles. This walkway will promote the one-stop concept for the hotel with Thailand’s largest convention center. Thus, it will be world’s only center with comprehensive facilities including exhibition halls, convention halls and Arena.” With the high accessibility of only 45 minutes on express way from Suvannabhumi Airport to the hotel at the room rate of 2,400 — 4,200 baht ++ / room / night, the opening of hotel will complement the concept of Thailand’s first exhibition and convention center with co-locating hotel to facilitate visitors and customers of which 80 percent are MICE, visitors, delegates and other customers. Mr. Paul added, “In 2011, IMPACT plans to expand its convention business to Makasan area with space of seven rais by designing as the large complex with auditorium for 2,000 delegates, hotel with 400 — 500 rooms, small- and medium-sized convention rooms, banquet hall for 2,000 guests. With the estimated investment value for this project is six billion baht, this project is currently held for under consideration of marketing factor. The hotel management may be handled by international hotel chain while the convention center will be promoted as IMPACT brand to expand market. This new expansion will generate additional revenue for IMPACT at 30 percent after three years of operation.
