During the past period, HITACHI was the major leadership in this business. HITACHI was the importer and installer of the first escalator in Thailand which was shown at Daimaru Department store. Furthermore, HITACHI was the first importer and installer in Thailand of the first glass elevator at the Robinson Ratchadumri. In the present day, HITACHI is still the importer and installer the longest automatic sliding path in Thailand, about 100 meters, which is installed at the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Due to the economic crisis and the Thai politic issue during 3-4 years ago, it affects on other projects and causes that the market share of the company falls down from the top to the third rank. From now on, our goal is to return to the first place and become the market leadership again, based on the investment plan both short-term and long-term according to Mr . Dhanet’s statement “I accept that it must take some time.” Mr. Dhanet announces about the new product of 2011 that HITACHI will launch the new model of elevator model VFI-II which has been evolved and designed by the latest technology innovation. The elevator will use the PM motor [Permanent Magnet-Type] which will significantly improve the performance and reduce the power consumption approximately 15% when compare to the previous model. Moreover, the VFI-II model uses the LED technology to replace the traditional light bulb, which helps to save energy and last longer. It includes with the Regenerative System that helps to save energy because motor acts as the generator to generate the electrical circuit during elevation and return the electric back to the building. In addition, HITACHI has released the new version of controlling system, Destination Floor Reservation System or (D F R S) for medium and large building size which will increase the performance in handling with the passengers in the building. The passengers can choose the floor from the front terrace Key Pad instead the traditional keypad that is pressed inside the elevator. This advantage will allow us to choose which elevator will take the passengers to the desired floor while waiting at the front door. The control system can distribute the appropriate number of passengers on the elevator, and avoid the congestion and the passengers will not take too long time to wait for the elevator. Mr. Dhanet continuously mentioned about the sales of 2010 that the turnover of total sales amount was 1,289 million baht, which increased approximately 15% comparing to 2009, which included the domestic sales for 1,089 million baht and export sales to other countries in Asia for 200 million baht.
