MTM will highlight four German thoroughbreds at the 32nd Bangkok International Motorshow starting with the “A7” 285hp sports sedan, the fun, diminutive yet powerful “A1” compact, the “Q5” sport utility that combines raw power with multi-purpose functionality and the “A5” sports coupe. Last but not least, MTM will also offer special sales campaigns with VIP cards and photo packages.
Mr.Kittipat Chaleysup, General Manager of MTM Motoren Technik Mayer (Thailand) Co., Ltd, said that MTM’s participation in this year’s Bangkok International Motorshow held at the Challenger Hall, Muangthong Thanee (March 25-April 5) was aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of motoring enthusiasts with four unique MTM models starting with the following models:
“MTM Audi A7” is regarded as the highlight of the MTM lineup at the Motorshow. The A7 is a unique yet modern interpretation of a 4-door sports sedan that defies engineering boundaries that says a sports sedan should have two doors. The A7 has an exterior to die for beginning with a flowing roof that curves into the rear doors like a true coupe.
The A7 is equipped with modern accessories that are both optimally and ergonomically designed for functionality and user-friendliness. Feel the A7’s sporty heritage with its 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel wrapped in genuine rich leather, electric seats with genuine leather upholstery, high quality console in genuine leather, wood and aluminum trim.
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine (TDI) tweaked by MTM to produce a whopping 285 horses at only 4,000 rpm and 600Nm of torque. All of this power is mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission which can take this gem to 100kph from a standstill in 5.8 seconds. Top speed is 270kph. This is the ultimate sports car. Enough said.
Another interesting MTM alternative on the menu is the “MTM Audi A1” sports hatchback which is a smaller sibling from the MTM lineup. This engineering masterpiece is a perfect blend between raw power and excellent mobility found in compacts driven in Europe. The MTM Audi A1 emphasizes exceptional performance, stability, road grip and world-class safety standards.
The MTM Audi A1 comes in the following dimensions: 1,740mm (width), 3,954mm (length) and 1,416mm (height). Also featured is a full-range of accessories for the exterior while the interior delivers rich European ambience and luxury. Its benzine power source comes is a 1.4-liter Turbo (TFSi) capable of 152hp delivered at 6,900 rpm and maximum torque of 235Nm at 4,400 rpm. Mated to the engine is a 7-speed S-Tronic transmission. It accelerates to 100kph from a standstill in 8.0 seconds and tops out at 210kph for a most enjoyable European-style fun ride.
Next is the “MTM Audi Q5” which is a unique sport utility vehicle (SUV) that understands how to combine multi-functionality and power in true MTM tradition. Under the hood is 2.0-liter benzine engine with turbo FSI technology capable of delivering maximum power of 270hp at 6,000 rpm and 390Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm for a true sports performance unlike other. The aforementioned power is delivered to the famous Quattro 4-wheel drive via an automatic S-Tronic 7-speed gearbox. Acceleration to 100kph from a standstill takes only 8 seconds to complement its top speed of 248kph.
Finally there is the “MTM Audi A5” sports coupe thoroughbred that is genuinely unique. Its design cues for the exterior and interior command attention with genuine red leather seats and black interior trim complemented with aluminum trim for a complete sporty sensation. Powering the MTM Audi A5 is a 2.0-liter benzine engine with FSI Turbo to drive the Quattro 4WD system modified by MTM. Maximum power is achieved at 270hp at 6,000 rpm and 390Nm at 1,500 rpm.The transmission is the S-Tronic 7-speed gearbox which enables the A5 to accelerate to 100kph in 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 255kph. The result is an exciting drive that you don’t want to leave once behind the wheel.
Mr. Kittipatt added that a very special campaign for new MTM customers who book orders at the Motorshow will be given a “D.A.D” VVIP card for discounts of 10% on spareparts and 15% on labor service.
