Eight Ascott properties will be turning off lights for 10 hours from 26 to 27 March
In support of the annual global sustainability movement to take a stand against climate change, CapitaLand’s wholly-owned serviced residence business unit, The Ascott Limited’s serviced residences in Thailand will take part in Earth Hour 2011.
Eight serviced residence properties in Bangkok, namely Ascott Sathorn, Citadines Sukhumvit 8, Citadines Sukhumvit 11, Citadines Sukhumvit 16, Citadines Sukhumvit 23, Somerset Lake Point, Somerset Park Suanplu and Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor will be turning off their facade lights and non-essential lighting for 10 hours from Saturday, 26 March 2011, 8.30pm to Sunday, 27 March 2011, 6.30am. Ascott will also raise awareness on the need to protect the environment by encouraging residents and tenants to switch off their apartment lights during Earth Hour.
Mr Eddie Lim, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Thailand, said “This is the fourth year that we are supporting this international campaign and we are participating in a much larger scale this year.
