Mitsubishi Motors Thailand reported March sales result of more than 6,000 units which is the best record in a decade. Both Pickup truck and Passenger models have got well acceptance from customers, sales volume of Triton were increased more than 200% followed by Pajero Sport which increased 76%. The company also reach sales resultt of Bangkok International Motor Show by 1,920 units and plan to continually arrange marketing activity to boost sales volume.
Mr. Nobuyuki Murahashi, President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Company Limited (MMTh) reported March sales result of 6,372 units, an increase of 119% compared to the same period of last year which is the best record for MMTh in a decade. Triton reached 4,026 units, increased by 211% year by year followed by Pajero Sport 1,689 units, increased by 76% and Lancer EX 214 units, increased by 4% year by year while Lancer 1.6 L. sales were down 5% to 345 and Space Wagon sales were up 5% to 98 units.

Mr. Murahashi added that “The introduction of new vehicles which meet customer need is the main factor that has helped to boost our sales volume namely the introduction of Triton and Pajero Sport 2.5 VG Turbo that come with the outstanding performance, design and more utilities together with the full line up of Triton CNG that is suitable for not only commercial but daily uses as well as the introduction of the new Mitsubishi Lancer EX coming with fascinating style, comfortable, performance and safety. Beside the new product introduction, using Toon - Body Slam and Ananda as a presenter for Triton and the new Lancer EX along with a new focus on after sales service business also help to create customers awareness and confidence in Mitsubishi vehicle as well.” Mr. Murahashi said.
Mr. Murahashi also informed about the total booking volume in Motor Show that the company can achieve the target at 1,920 units , increased by 37% when compared with last year while “Mitsubishi Concept Global Small” the concept of MMTh Eco car that the company plan to start production by March 2012 can successfully draw attention of customers who are now interesting in Eco Car.
Mr. Murahashi also added that in the 2nd quarter of this year MMTh will focus on below the line activities to establish customers awareness and confidence on Mitsubishi product and services such as roadshow in department store and shopping center both in Bangkok and up country together with provide special sales campaign in order to boost sales volume.
