Mitsubishi Motors Thailand today announced about its production plan in May that will be on schedule thanks to full support from MMC, its headquarter in Japan and confirmed to continue to receive customer booking for all models at Mitsubishi Dealerships throughout the country.
Mr. Nobuyuki Murahashi, President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., (MMTh) unveils that until April Mitsubishi production was as original schedule and will be on schedule in May as well. However, the company is necessary to closely monitor the situation in Japan which in the second half of the month MMTh is going to check parts availability from Japan again.
“I believe that there are many customers who started to worry about delivery because there have been some car companies influenced about parts imported from Japan and consequently announced to cut production and delay car delivery.
For Mitsubishi, due to MMTh’s good sales performance in the first quarter and at Bangkok International Motor Show together with lots of back order we got especially for “Triton” and “Pajero Sport”, at the moment MMC puts Thailand for priority and provide full support for Mitsubishi production at Laemchabang which is going to run as original schedule. This makes MMTh is very confident to be able to produce Mitsubishi vehicle on schedule both for domestic market and export.
As a result, Mitsubishi network will be able to run normal sales activity and continue to receive the booking which however delivery will be subjected to stock availability of each dealer,” confirmed Mr. Murahashi.
