Pleased by better than expected SME loan growth of 28% in the last quarter, Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) will continue to strengthen Thai SME capabilities under its “SCB: The SMEs True Partner” concept by hosting a series of 'SCB SME-IEP: Keys to SME Success' seminars throughout the year. The seminars will feature leading business gurus, who will share their business knowledge, tips for success, and experience to pave the way for growth and success and assist SME entrepreneur in keeping up with economic data, business highlights, hot issues, and potential events impacting businesses in Thailand. The series comes on the back of the recent very successful SCB SME-Young Entrepreneur (SCB SME-YEP) and SCB SME-Intelligent Entrepreneur (SCB SME-IEP) programs that attracted more than 1,000 clients.
The first seminar in the series is titled “Sell Your Product Like Hot Cakes”,scheduled for 15 June 2011 at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok. Entrepreneurs will learn essential marketing strategies to cope with both domestic and international rivals against a backdrop of fierce competition this year. The seminar will feature Dr. Seri Wongmontha, a well-known marketing and mass communications guru, and executives from successful businesses such as Wuttisak Clinic, Nature Gift 711, and Health Land. Dr. Seri noted that “At present, business operators can obtain knowledge from a wide range of open resources, but the SCB seminar series will help focus and sort that knowledge for participants. Topic selection for each seminar in the series is based on a set of criteria best responding to actual business situations. As an academic, I am pleased to join SCB in sharing my SME knowledge with SME heads and other entrepreneurs in the upcoming seminar.”
