Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd., led by Consumer Lifestyle Sector announced that the company appoints Toey “Jarinporn Joonkiat” as the first Philips Brand Ambassador for its On The Go Accessories. Philips plans to launch new products to penetrate into new generation who want to enjoy entertainment anytime and anywhere through its new marketing strategy, social media, in the second half this year. Ms. Siriwan Nitkitjatorn, General Manager of Consumer Lifestyle Sector, Philips Electronics (Thailand) Ltd., said “Philips has realized potential growth of the Thai Headphones and Accessories market this year because growth of this product line is line with that of MP3/MP4, Notebook, smartphones, and tablets, which are gaining popularity as entertainment devices for watching movies, and listening to music.”
his year, Philips sets foray into Philips On The Go Accessories market with the wide variety of products, and distribution channels and market strategies that can directly reach our targeted consumers.
Product: In 2011, Philips plans to market over 150 models of its On The Go Accessories of which categories into 3 product groups; Headphone, Smartphone Accessories and Notebook Accessoreis. Philips target consumers are among young generation who seek for new advanced gadgets. Philips creates these products with an aim to improve people’s health and well-being.
Headphones: Philips Headphones are produced based on three main points allowing consumers to enjoy quality sound, ultimate wearing comfort so consumers can keep on listening and design for always ready to go (headphone folds flat for easy storing and carrying.)

Distribution channel: Philips has already planned for its distribution channel to market products nationwide through leading department stores, IT channels and will expand to lifestyle and Smartphone channels this year
Marketing Strategy: Philips’s strategy is conducted under consumer experience marketing to allow consumers to experience in product demonstration. This year, Philips plans to organize roadhow activity in leading department stores and office building.

Philips then launches two big marketing campaigns, operated by Philips worldwide and Philips Thailand, for Philips On The Go Accessories products through Facebook and Youtube and “Toey” participates in this activity.”
Philips has introduced a worldwide campaign on Facebook www.facebook.com/ nigelandvictoria. Under the campaign, Philips selected Brand Ambassadors from 10 countries around the world including Toey Jarinporn from Thailand to shoot video for On The Go Accessories product review at the U.K. and the Netherlands, and the review is available on Facebook and Youtube media to present efficiency and product functions that are appropriate with new generation’s lifestyle. The campaign rolled out across the world in June 2011 which received good feedback.
For Thailand, Philips has also marketed through social media circle on Facebook www.facebook.com/PhilipsSoundThailand. The campaign in the second half focuses on promoting video that reviewed products by Toey Jarinporn, and simultaneously communicating information about new products and promotion campaigns for On The Go Accessories and audio products to target group directly.
