The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) holds roadshows in London, European countries, Singapore and Malaysia on July 4-11, 2011 to highlight investment opportunities in the Thai capital market and affirm the country’s strong economic growth. The SET has joined hands with government units and major brokerage firms to organize these events.
Twenty-three large, listed Thai firms which have good performances will join in the roadshows. They have a combined market capitalization of THB 3.23 trillion (approx USD 104 billion), representing to 38.67 percent of the total market value as of June 24, 2011.
“This should be a great opportunity to show the strong growth of Thailand’s economy as well as the readiness and strength of its capital market in order to enhance confidence of foreign investors and stimulate equities investment,” SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira said, expecting about 300 financial institutions and leading fund managers to attend the events.

The Thai exchange is working with ACL Securities and BNP Paribas Thailand to hold “SET/BNP Thailand: Sustainable Growth in a Changing Global Setting” in London and Edinburgh, the United Kingdom; The Hague, the Netherlands and Milan, Italy. The Ministry of Finance and nine listed companies, consisting of Amata Corporation Pcl (AMATA), Bangkok Bank Pcl (BBL), Central Pattana Pcl (CPN), Khon Kaen Sugar Industry Pcl (KSL), Krung Thai Bank Pcl (KTB), PTT Pcl (PTT), Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holdings Pcl (RATCH), Thai Airways International Pcl (THAI), Thai Union Frozen Products Pcl (TUF), will join the roadshow.

Thai bourse, together with DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand) and Energy Ministry, will lead seven listed firms in the energy sector to hold “DBS Vickers Pulse of Asia Conference” in Singapore. The listed companies are Electricity Generating Pcl (EGCO), Indorama Ventures Pcl (IVL), Lanna Resources Pcl (LANNA), PTT Pcl (PTT), PTT Exploration and Production Pcl (PTTEP), Siamgas and Petrochemicals Pcl (SGP) and Thai Oil Pcl (TOP).

The Exchange will join hands with CIMB (Thailand) Securities and nine listed firms to hold “SET/CIMB Malaysia Roadshow” as part of an expansion plan to attract investors in high- potential financial hubs. The companies are Delta Electronics (Thailand) Pcl (DELTA), Major Cineplex Group Pcl (MAJOR), Minor International Pcl (MINT), Sansiri Pcl (SIRI), Siam Commercial Bank Pcl (SCB), Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA), Supalai Pcl (SPALI), Thai Oil Pcl (TOP) and Thai Tap Water Supply Pcl (TTW).
