With impressive growth of 15 per cent, the company is now gearing up for overseas business expansion focusing on ASEAN markets. Miss Jainnisa Kuvinichkul, executive director of MT Alumet, said “To date MT Alumet offers an extensive quality aluminum product portfolio to supply all industries, including electronics, automobiles, aerospace, interior designs and furniture in Asia, The Americas, Europe, Middle East and Australia. Since the previous year, the company has implemented an integrated communication plan to raise awareness and understanding on the benefits and quality of aluminum, while reinforcing the “MT Alumet” brand equity in local and international markets through various media channels including newspaper advertorials, seminars and road shows.”
“In the second quarter of 2011 we recorded an average growth of 12 per cent, buoyed by aggressive marketing strategy and the economic recovery, of which 70 per cent was attributed by local market expansion led by the construction sector, electronic appliance, electronic equipment and automobile-vessel sectors. Meanwhile, the remaining 30% of sales growth is attributable to export markets, including those in Europe and the US. We aim to expand the market in ASEAN countries, including Laos by forming a partnership with a group of local companies in a bid to penetrate fast growing real estate business there with expected investment of 200 million baht”, she added.
Additionally, MT Alumet focuses on product development and adding value to products by collaboration with furniture designers to develop and produce furniture made from aluminum to serve as prototype products as part of the marketing plan for aluminum material in new formats. This includes the offering of powder-coated aluminum which offers consumers diverse alternatives of various color gamut as well as texture. Furthermore, the material boasts its durability and environmental friendliness, making it an ideal construction material for modern residences, while offering classical and trendy feeling.
“The company expects to achieve 15 per cent growth by the end of this year from last year’s sales of more than 12,000 tones or 20 per cent market share of Thailand's aluminium market valued at 30 billion baht, through reaffirming the quality and potential of “MT Alumet” brand in terms of product innovation, high quality manufacturing and management processes. Its integrated line of business provides total solutions from R&D, product design, extrusion & powder coating to welding 100 percent aluminium.
Moreover, the company offers after sales service, using sales stimulation strategy and designating a sales team to contact agencies responsible for design, material selection and product assembly, from private and government agencies. Operating budget is set at 5 per cent of total sales.
