AIA Thailand is pleased to announce that it has awarded the cheque payments tender to TMB Bank Pcl. This agreement between AIA Thailand and TMB will enhance AIA service standards for its customers outside Bangkok and its vicinity.
Mr. Ron van Oijen, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Thailand said: “AIA is very pleased to join hands with our new partner — TMB who won a tender bidding of AIA cheque payment services in upcountry. Through the cheque payments service of TMB, our policyholders outside Bangkok will be able to enjoy more convenience and faster cheque cashing cycles without incurring any service fees through this service.”
Currently AIA issues approximately 5,000 cheques per day or 1.3 million per year in the country excluding Bangkok and its vicinity. AIA policyholders with TMB accounts will receive faster and more convenient services as TMB can shorten the cheque clearing cycles for cheques issued by AIA.
