Bangkok--20 Jul--DFM MINI TRUCK Dong Feng Motors glance ahead toward 3rd to 4th trimesters 2001, with company’s 100% escalation of sales volumes, plan to inject over 50 million Baht setting up mini pick-up truck road show, penetrating SME markets in 18 provinces over Thailand Dong Feng Motors estimates the economy in the 3rd & 4th trimester of this year will be in recovery mode, consumers will definitely spend more, which will result in raising the numbers of sales volume of commercial mini pick-up trucks. Under the offensive marketing strategy, the company decided to rebrand itself becoming “Dong Feng Motors”, and injects over 50 million Baht to host a mini pick-up truck road show, the objective is to penetrate SME market in 18 provinces over Thailand in which to support the expected 100% of company sales growth. Mr.Pitaya Tanadamrongsak, Managing Director of DFM MINI TRUCK (THAILAND) or Dong Feng Motors reveals that there is a growing opportunity for commercial mini pick-up truck market in the 3rd& 4th trimesters of the year 2011. Due to country’s political stability, there should be high demand of consumptions and more investment both from private and government sectors. 1,500 Dong Feng Motors mini trucks and mini vans expected to be sold (3,000 units sales target this year). In addition, 1st & 2nd trimester of 2011, sales volume has already been recorded at 1,500 units while the overall sales volumes of 2010 is equal to 1,500 units resulting in a possible 100% sales growth for the year 2011. In order to create brand recognition, from 19th of July 2011, the mini pick-up truck and mini van will be under the brand called “Dong Feng Motors”. Chinese nationality brand which rank in first position in terms of sale volume and also first class service center and dealers all over the country. Therefore Dong Feng Motors has the potential to expand into Thai market, up to standards and products quality are the facts to reassure clients confidence towards the brand. Offensive marketing strategy has been adopted this year to reach the target sales volume, marketing and Public Relations activities are more to concern now, under the campaign called “Real User’s Guarantee”. It represents the mini pick-up truck that is modified to suit the using purpose for SME business. Furthermore, the products can perfectly fit the need of the users to the capability of the vehicle which result in high demand of Dong Feng Motors products. Road show will be commenced in 18 provinces around Thailand to meet the prospects of SME marketers. Starting from Na-Korn Radchasrima from the 23rd of July 2012 then to Lei, Chonburi, Na-Korn Sritummarach, Udonthani, Songkla, Surat-Thani, Jantaburi, Na-Korn Sawan, Lumpang, Petchaboon, Trung, Chieng Mai, Phuket, Na-Korn Pathom, Nontaburi, Samutsakorn, Pathum Thani, then a grand finale at Bangkok on the 26th of November 2012, start from 3pm until 7pm. The road show concept is “Dong Feng Motors Guan Mun Ha Ta Ching Rod” which the activity will select the participants from all 18 provinces to compete for the big prize that is a dream mini pick-up truck dress up as a mobile stores worth around 500,000 Baht.
