Leistritz announces a new high technology manufacturing base in Chonburi
Rolls-Royce, a global power systems company, today announced that it has signed a 10-year manufacturing agreement with Leistritz, a global supplier of components for the international aero engine and power generation industry as well as an innovative partner of the automotive, plastics and machine building industry. To support the new agreement, Leistritz will establish a manufacturing base in Chonburi, Thailand for the forging of compressor blades.
Specifically, Leistritz will make the compressor blade forgings for V2500, Trent 700, Trent 900, and Trent 1000 engines.
Ewen McDonald, Managing Director, Rolls-Royce, Thailand, said: “We are delighted to announce this agreement with Leistritz, who is our third supplier to manufacture in the Kingdom. This reinforces our trust in the country’s manufacturing capability and our commitment to Thailand. We will continue to work with the Board of Investment of Thailand to further develop our supply chain here.”
