Mr.Makio Oikawa, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing, Tippatana Arcade Co,Ltd. revealed that Kourakuen, a highly popular Japanese ramen chain, will open at "Gateway Ekamai", Japanese Lifestyle Shopping Mall to be open in early 2012.
“This will be the first outlet that Kourakuen decided to open outside Japan” Mr.Makio said. In Japan, Kourakuen holds the highest market share in ramen sale. The strengthofKourakuenlies onhigh standard of ingredients andits own recipe for making ramen noodle that perfectly matched with its special soup. Apart from providing hygienic food, Kourakuen’s ramen is famous for its reasonable price, taste standard and impressive service. Presently, Korakuen operates over 400 outlets in Japan.
“We are confidentthat our first Kourakuen ramen outlet in Thailand at Gateway Ekamai will meet the approval from ramen lovers, not only from those Japanese living in Thailand who are already familiar with our reputation. We intend to expand with more outlets in Thailand.” Mr.TsutaeNiida, President of Kourakuen said.Kourakuen got overseas expansion privileges and support from JRO (Organization to Promote Japanese Restaurants Abroad).
Kourakuen was founded in 1954by Mr.TsukasaNiida, father of Mr.TsutaeNiida,the presentpresident. Currently it is the largest ramen chain in Japan with the biggest ramen producing factory.
