Lecture, Demonstration and Workshop - "Ukiyo-e : Traditional Japanese Wood block Printing" (August 17, 2011)
"Ukiyo-e" is a Japanese traditional woodblock prints and paintings developed in the Edo period (1603-1868) and is among the most famous of Japan’s treasures worldwide.
Ms Yukiko Takahashi, the 6th generation of Takahashi Atlier, a publisher of Ukiyo-e. introduces its history and technique, while Ms. Hira will demonstrate the printing process.
Both traditional and contemporary works will be also exhibited.

Venue : Sirapakorn University (Art Gallery of Faculty of Architecture).
