Bangkok--17 Aug--Sir (Thailand)
Executives of BDP International — the world’s leading privately owned transport and logistics company, jointly announce the results of its global survey which looks into the practice of slow steaming and its impact on the supply chains of businesses in the Asia Pacific region. Slow steaming affects customer service, inventory levels, cash flow and production times. So, the shippers think ocean carriers should share the cost savings of slow steaming by reducing their freight rates. Moreover, they want to see these savings used to offset future increases.
