FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, was recognized by the Ministry of Labour for its outstanding record in implementing advanced safety policies and procedures throughout its gateway operations in Thailand. FedEx has received the ‘Zero Accident’ award for two consecutive years.
The awards were presented by the Ministry of Labour at the end of its Zero Accident Campaign 2010. The awards were organized by The National Institute for the Improvement of Working Conditions and Environment and the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. Winners of the awards were required to meet the following criteria: total worked hours must be between 1,000,000 — 2,999,999 hours, no claims made from the Workmen’s Compensation Fund and; implementation of comprehensive safety initiatives while operating in full compliance with Thailand’s safety laws.
