Bangkok--14 Sep--GHC Asia
Contemporary Japanese restaurant ZUMA will be bringing to Bangkok a sophisticated interpretation of the Japanese izakaya style of informal eating and drinking, with an emphasis on quality ingredients and simple presentation.
Rainer Becker developed the ZUMA concept of “authentic, but not traditional” Japanese cuisine, after returning to London from six successful years working in Tokyo, learning the intricacies of Japanese food and culture.
ZUMA was first launched in London in 2002 to great acclaim; this early and continuing success has become worldwide with the launch of ZUMA Hong Kong in 2007, followed by ZUMA Istanbul in February 2008, Dubai in August 2008 and Miami in 2010.
Diners can expect delicious signature dishes on the menu such as Sashimi Omakase (Chef’s choice of premium sashimi), Gyuhire Sumibiyaki Karami Zuke (Spicy beef tenderloin with sesame, red chilli and sweet soy) and Dynamite Spider Maki Roll (Softshell crab, chilli mayonnaise, cucumber and wasabi tobiko sauce).
The talented bar team and sommelier have collated an exciting cellar featuring over 1,500 bottles of some of the world’s best wines and sake. A creative cocktail list offers signature cocktails such as Rubabu (Rhubarb infused ozeki sake shaken with 42 below vodka and fresh passion fruit) and Norisan (Fresh mint, passion fruit, and pineapple, shaken with orange).
This award-winning contemporary Japanese restaurant will be located at the prestigious The St. Regis Bangkok so watch this space for the opening date!
