Bangkok Bank (Head office: Silom Road, Bangkok; President: Mr. Chartsiri Sophonphanich) announced it had concluded a business tie-up with Yamanashi Chuo Bank (Head office: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture; President: Mr. Nakaba Shindo). Yamanashi Chuo Bank will be the 18th Japanese bank that has formed a collaboration with Bangkok Bank, representing all the major regions in Japan.
Yamanashi Chuo Bank is the largest regional bank in the Yamanashi prefecture and its business policy is to be a strong local bank with sustainable management practices. It is people-orientated with excellent customer relations and is dedicated to support local economic prosperity and development. Yamanashi Chuo Bank’s sound management policy includes maintaining a good financial standing to inspire the trust of customers.
The tie-up will help to pave the way for the increasing number of Japanese businesses from the Yamanashi prefecture wishing to investing in Thailand. Local companies are looking to invest outside Japan because of reduced domestic demand and a wish to minimize production risks by expanding their production base abroad.
Executives from Yamanashi Chuo Bank visited Thailand in July and met with Mr. Deja Tulananda, Vice Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Bangkok Bank. They invited Mr. Hitoshi Ozawa, Executive Vice President of Bangkok Bank, to be the guest speaker at a business seminar about investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Thailand in Kofu City on August 3. Mr. Ozawa gave a lecture on the important points to consider when expanding business in Thailand and how to utilize Thai local financial institutions, and introduced the products and services of Bangkok Bank.
The collaboration between Bangkok Bank and Yamanashi Chuo Bank is to share economic information and to build-up a framework of advice and support for tapping into the Thai market, and will provide financial support to Yamanashi Chuo customers in Thailand.
Through this opportunity, Yamanashi Chuo Bank and Bangkok Bank will strengthen their business relationship. The two banks are determined to concentrate on assisting companies from Japan by continuously providing high-quality financial services.
